The Bishop
Openings that cost you
Results and accuracy for every opening you play, with the exact move where you leave theory.
Chess Owl runs your Lichess, Chess.com or PGN games through Stockfish and turns them into a private report: the openings that cost you, the tactics you miss, how you handle the clock. Every claim links to the positions behind it.
“You’re an attacking player: you score 64% in the Italian Game when you go for an early kingside push. But as Black against 1.d4 you drift into passive positions and score only 38%. Let’s build you a sharper defence that suits your style.”
AI-written advice, grounded in engine analysis of your own games.

The Chess Owl promise
Chess Owl never tells you something without showing you where it came from. No vague advice, no invented verdicts.
Your games are analysed move by move with a fixed, published engine profile.
Every statistic shows its sample size; small samples are flagged, not hidden.
Click any finding to see the positions behind it on an interactive board.
The method
A chess engine for precision, AI for understanding. Every conclusion Chess Owl draws traces back to a position you played.
Every game you select is pulled from Lichess, Chess.com or your PGN file, with its clock times, colour and opponent rating.
Each move is evaluated on its own by Stockfish, with the same published settings for everyone, to measure exactly what it won or lost.
Chess Owl then looks across all your games at once: which openings, positions, tactics and clock situations cost you points, and which ones you handle well.
A full report with a written coach brief, a ranked training plan, and openings that suit your playing style.
A tour of your report
From your opening repertoire to your clock habits, each chapter ends with something you can train.

FAQ
Short answers about how the analysis works, what it costs, and what happens to your games.
Every move of every game is checked by the Stockfish engine with a fixed, published profile. Deterministic rules then group the results into patterns: openings, tactics, move quality, endgames, clock use and habits. The written coach brief is generated by an AI model from those computed facts only, so every claim links back to the positions behind it.
Read the methodologyNo. There is no sign-up and no subscription. You pay once per report through Stripe, and the email you give at checkout is only used to send your report link.
Enter your Lichess or Chess.com username, or upload or paste a PGN file (up to 10 MB) exported from any site or database.
At least 10 games, so the patterns mean something. The package follows the number of games you select: up to 100 games for €4.90, up to 300 for €9.90, or up to 1,000 for €19.90. You see the exact price before paying.
See pricingFinished games of standard chess that you played. You can narrow the selection by time control, colour, date and opponent rating. Variants, unfinished games and broken records are left out, and the quote lists every excluded game with the reason.
Usually a few minutes. Larger packages take longer because every move is analysed. The private link arrives by email as soon as the report is ready.
If the analysis cannot be completed, you are refunded in full automatically. If you think a report is materially wrong, reply to any of our emails within 14 days and we will review it.
Your report sits behind an unguessable private link. We only store a hash of that link, so nobody at Chess Owl can open it from our database. Reports and your email are deleted after 90 days, and uploaded PGN files within 7 days. The AI model only receives computed chess facts, never your email or username.
Read the privacy policyEnter the email you used at checkout on the Find my report page, and we will send fresh links to every report that is still available.
Find my reportYes. Chess Owl sits inside your report: ask it to explain a section, a statistic or a game, and it answers from your own analysed games. The text of your questions is never stored.

No. The analysis is educational. It shows where your points go and what to train; it does not detect or allege fair-play violations.
Bring your games. Minutes later, you will know exactly where your points go and what to train first.
